KC's Fireworks had joined forces with Gilbert Racing Promotions to bring the Monster Tour of Destruction to the small city of Whyalla in South Australia. Whyalla Bennett Oval was the venue chosen to host the show on the Saturday night... but the week preceeding the show saw all the Monster Trucks invade the city centre, also including visits to local Primary schools. Along with massive pyrotechnic displays and racing by a classy Sprintcar field, the night was made most memorable by James Tigue converting Monster Patrol into a three-wheeler with the final jump of the night!
